What patients say on Google

“I can't say enough how this treatment has helped my daughter. After going through years of therapy and being her put on several different drugs, nothing seemed to be working. Reverence Behavioral Health was recommended to me by a friend and I finally made the decision to make the change to Dr. Akrong knowing it would take time for my daughter to open up to anyone new. Can't say enough how grateful I am that I made that decision. It has been life changing to my entire family. Dr. Akrong's first recommended my daughter have the Genetic Testing done. She went from taking 11 different prescriptions to now taking 2 different prescriptions. That alone was life changing for our family. The next recommendation Dr. Akrong suggested that my daughter try PrTMS therapy for 7 weeks. After meeting as a family with Dr. Akrong and being shown what the results could be, we agreed to make the commitment to the treatment. Driving 2 hrs each way Monday-Friday seemed daunting at first but the results are well worth it. I could tell each week things seemed to get better for my daughter. Her mood was better, she was more social and even talked during the ride sometimes. Now being done with the PrTMS for a month, I see even more how much good the therapy has done. This therapy has allowed my daughter to be independent and be the person she was meant to be without the anxiety getting in the way and holding her back. Highly recommend it for any patient that Dr. Akrong suggests should try it. I would also like to shout out to the office staff. Alexis was GREAT and so easy to work with helping get everything scheduled and letting me know how each session was going and what to expect during the next session. Not an easy task with my work schedule and the commute we had to make. Alexis always got us in and out as quickly as possible and was flexible with our appointments understanding that the drive was long and we would sometimes be late due to traffic and construction. Cherie was extremely helpful with all the billing issues and helped to explain all the billing questions I had. Even worked with me to get weekly invoicing so I could stay on top of the bills. Could not have gotten through those 7 weeks without both their help.”

“I have been a patient of Dr. Akrong for 4 years now and when he recommended I try PrTMS I was a bit hesitant because of the commitment and length of treatment. However, my experience with the TMS technician was nothing short of wonderful. Alexis did an incredible job of explaining the process and making sure I was comfortable during each scan and treatment. I don’t think if I had another technician I would have enjoyed my time there. Alexis was truly kind, attentive and helpful. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Alexis, Dr. Akrong and the rest of the Reverence Behavioral Health team.”

“I recently finished 7 weeks of TMS. Initially, I was skeptical and unenthused about the whole process. But Alexis made my treatment something I actually looked forward to, thanks to her engaging personality and genuine care. What stands out most is how she recalls details from previous conversations and checks in on my overall well-being, not just my vitals. It's clear she's invested in her patients and truly enjoys her work. Staff like this are hard to find—and even harder to keep. Looking back, I'm glad I stuck with it—my sleep is better, my energy has improved, and it was honestly worth it.”

“Akwetey and Alexis have made my son’s life, and mine better. Reverence behavioral provided my son with quality of life, changing TMS therapy. He used to live in a dark place. Akwetey was one of the first in the Chicagoland area to provide this process for my son. Because of my son’s success after the therapy, I spent the summer of 2026 doing TMS as well. Alexis was the point person for both my son and myself. She administered every session for him in 2024, and now for me in 2026. She made me feel welcome with a professional, kind, and straightforward approach. She made me feel calm about my apprehension regarding this new step. She’s a great listener, responsive to any questions or concerns. Through Akwetey and Alexis, our family has a clear view of navigating this life without the shadow of our own darkness looming.”
