How likely are you to recommend Portland Psychiatric Services LLC?
“You seriously could not find a better quality of care. All of the ladies working here are extremely caring, knowledgeable, and extremely devoted to their jobs. They have this ability to make you feel comfortable and welcome even when you’re going through extremely traumatic times in your life. They are able to communicate with you and talk to you through the steps of treatment with a level of comforting care that does not sound condescending at all. My life has definitely changed since coming here and I recommend them anyone who is struggling and needs a better quality of life.”
“I started services because my I was losing my battle with depression, and just could not come back from recent traumas. At first treatment, I experienced something I thought I’d lost the ability to feel: joy. And from the realization that I was capable of feeling joy, came hope. I felt like I was making more progress in months than I had with years of anti-depressants and therapy. Sadly, the 2024 election, and other events outside my control made it extremely difficult to stay hopeful, but this group supported me through all of it, and I am so grateful for their help and assistance. If you are feeling hopeless, give ketamine therapy a try. It can show you how much resilience still lives inside your brain, and once you see the capacity is in there, it is so much easier to hold on, and work towards a better future.”
“I am so grateful to have found Brooks. I was at the lowest time in my life, and she helped me change the trajectory. She has so much empathy for others; I feel seen and heard at every appointment, which is not the norm for me. She helps in any way she can, whether that’s adjusting meds, making suggestions on how to get better treatment from other providers on my care team, writing letters on my behalf, or making book recommendations. If you’re in need of a psychiatric provider, call Brooks. You will be happy you did.”
“Deciding to do ketamine treatments can be a scary step into the unknown: what’s it going to be like? Will I be uncomfortable? How will I feel afterwards? PPS is both grounded in the science and protocol of this remarkable treatment for depression and PTSD, and the staff is warmly human and caring to normalize the weirdness of doing a drug with an outdated stigma. The treatment rooms are not clinical offices, but rather comfy and cozy and creatively beautiful. The environment is conducive to the healing that happens, and the staff is both professional and nurturing. I am immensely grateful for this resource in our community, and would not hesitate for a minute to put loved ones in their caring hands.”
