What patients say on Google

“On the phone for 40 minutes trying to get my appointment scheduled. I’ve been going for years but the practice has a HUGE turn over rate and the phone/scheduling is a complete mess. Avoid if you need an easy scheduling experience or want a consistent provider.”

“I really hate to be that girl because my husband likes his doctor at this practice, but he had an appointment at 8:30 to basically have an image of his brain done to pinpoint his mental illnesses. We drove 45+ minutes from the Effingham County line in rush hour traffic to get there. We both took off work to accommodate this appointment. When we got there the receptionist told him he did not have an appointment. However, we had paperwork from two months ago stating that the appointment was scheduled. The receptionist basically just wanted us to shut up and leave. She told us that the practice had hired a tech to focus on these types of procedures and that person was available only on Tuesday/Thursday...but no one reached out to my husband to reschedule. I asked why he had been scheduled on a Friday then, and asked to speak to his doctor. The receptionist replied, "I'm not bringing the doctor up here to be fussed at." Verbatim. So I asked for the practice manager. The receptionist replied with an attitude that the manager arrived at nine. Luckily another lady stepped in at this point and informed me that she was trying to get ahold of another tech to see if she could perform this procedure today since we had made the drive. I'm not sure who this lady was, but I was grateful for someone who was actually trying to find a solution to the problem rather than just having an attitude and trying to get rid of us. At this point my husband was so frustrated that the nice lady told us she would have the manager personally call us to reschedule...and if they don't, I'm calling THEM. Bottom line, some of the front desk folks are unprofessional and unhelpful and whoever is in charge of scheduling SUCKS and both of them need to go. I'm giving one star for the lady with long braids who was actually helpful.”

“I was attempting to treat attention deficit issues and was forced to do a $1,100 neuro-feedback assessment (complete rip off), which I was led to believe would be covered by insurance. Mind you this assessment is led by a tech who follows a prompt, not a nurse or doctor. After 3-4 visits and weeks of waiting I was given a low dose of adderall which literally felt like a placebo. Fast forward 30 days later they schedule me an appointment at 5:20pm and when I show up I'm told that I have a $1k balance and that I cannot be seen by a doctor until the balance is paid. OK, here's my debit card. "Well, the person who handles billing has gone home for the day." I couldn't receive a courtesy phone call before driving a county over in 5 o clock traffic that my payment couldn't be processed and I can't be seen today? No wonder our country has a mental health crisis.”

“Do not go here! Even if you like the doctor/ professional. The office is poorly handled. They give you bills months later that should not be owed. I knew that they did not take my insurance but still sent it in anyways and while I paid out of pocket a hundred dollars a session. I got a bill for a new patient payment for four hundred sixteen dollars almost a year after. I haven’t been there since last year. They will scam you out of your money. The reviews are a warning for anyone.”
