What patients say on Google
“First time seeking help and I was nervous about the process. Justin is amazing! Super helpful and compassionate. It is easy to do virtual appointments at home vs going into an office. This has truly been a life changing experience for me. I am so much happier and less stressed. Definitely recommend Justin.”
“I have been seeing a provider at Pure Psychiatry for about 2 years and they are amazing. They were very easy to get into for the first visit when I started and they have been reliable and easy to work with ever since. My provider is incredible; knowledgeable, caring, kind, patient, and they have truly help change my life through the proper treatment. I would and have recommend Pure Psychiatry to anyone in need of excellent care.”
“My entire experience with Pure Psychiatry was wonderful. From intake to my appointment with Allen. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The website stated i would get a reply within 48 hours but, they responded to my filling out intake forms online within a matter of hours. She was very nice and friendly. I got an appointment in 5 days. The office staff was very nice and I absolutely loved the appointment I had with Allen. I look forward to working with this group.”
“I didn't get the chance to keep my FIRST appointment thanks to Leslie and her misunderstanding and seemingly impatient inability to grasp EXACTLY what I was asking & taking scolding tone with me....KILLED the whole vibe. Dealing specifically with medical trauma is the reason I have been seeking care. I am not going to be exposed to any other people who operate at this kind of capacity and frequency. I've been very vocal about this. I wanted to be assured of what would happen regarding the TALK THERAPY, and being placed in the care of a provider that is in Oakland County, and that has EXSTENSIVE TRAUMA education & experience. I am not stupid, the way her tone & attitude attempted to make me feel. I know they all get some level of trauma education, but without these assurances my medication appointment would be moot. I had not checked the reviews until after that phone call, and then I see ones that were troubling to me. I gave a 3 because I've obviously not been to facility or met othets, but I was already super uncomfortable with the intake process & some of the questions & the gad scoring (some of those questions should be informed). Asking for credit card information on the forms, which being online, I didn't provide, was also off putting. I was already growing very concerned that my therapy visits had to "potentially" take place from provider at another facility, as I was told they had no therapists available for a month or so. Leslie decided she didn't have the bandwidth to HEAR me, and that maybe scolding/raising her voice a bit would get me to stop TRYING to get her to answer EXACTLY the questions I was asking. Then to proceed to explain to me that the person I'm seeing on Tuesday would've only handled my medication. I understood that. I was trying to figure out once I got a therapist what I could expect. I am now experiencing tremors from having to phone back & cancel and express EXACTLY why. I hate confrontation, BUT now I'll just not accept awful treatment creating the need for confrontation, in the effort to advocate for myself. Thank Goodness I still have options. People in the field of medicine need to take note that we patients are done being treated disrespectfully, and that they need to operate with the thought that they work for us. I'd never speak to my employer they way Leslie spoke to me. If I couldn't provide the answer I would've said "I'm sorry that's beyond my pay scale/scope, or maybe...I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for with these questions, but I completely understand why you'd want to be certain about how your mental health care unfolds. Please let me have so & so call you back."”
