What patients say on Google
“I was a patient there for like about four months, from October 2024 until February 2025. My experience with Mireisy Mesa was TERRIBLE. She was very argumentative, she wouldn’t let me talk, she would cut me off, she would criticize me, showed no interest, and ignored me whenever I mentioned a concern about my depression and anxiety. Overall, she made me feel that whatever she said was way more important than anything I had to say. A good example of her being argumentative is when I showed her a paper of the TOVA exam, a test that I took at another psychiatric clinic that indicated that I had ADHD. She argued against it, rejected the statement, and basically threw the paper back to me like if the statement and results were false. She assumed that I was autistic, although she didn’t directly say it to me, but she was implying it, at the time however, I wasn’t able to notice her intentions behind the argument. She got me to waste four hours of my time at a neuropsychologist office to “rule out ADHD”. The neuropsychologist that I saw, Pedro Saez, was HORRIBLE, his mind was in space, he was cold, uninterested, and he was very reluctant towards me. It wasn’t until after the evaluation that I realized that Mireisy was labeling me as autistic, and when I tried to point out that those results were wrong because of the lack of attention from the neuropsychologist, she interrupted me, didn’t let me finish, and argued that those results were “state approved and scientifically proven”. Ms. Mesa is a person who thinks she knows everything. I tried speaking to her in English, but her English is HORRIBLE, so I had no choice but to speak to her in Spanish. After she labeled me as autistic, that was the final straw for me and I had to leave and switch to another psychiatric clinic. She never listened, I wasn’t heard, is like my voice and saying were not important. I’ll never know why she treated me that way. Now, not to sound like a racial victim, politically correct, or play the “race card”, but there may be a possibility that she treated me like that because I’m Central American, since “they” look at us like we are “Indios” or “tira flecha”. From my personal experience, when I’ve gone to public places like fast food joints or stores, “they” treat “us” differently, but “they” treat their “own people” or “paisanos” with kindness. So there may have been a little bit of racism, but I don’t want to make a nasty assumption like that, so I hope I am wrong because I don’t want to label anyone as racist. In conclusion, this lack of communication is something that I should’ve addressed long time ago, because I believe that a psychiatrist or a therapist should LISTEN to a patient WITHOUT any judgement. At the end of the day, the real expert is the patient.”
“My experience with Carmen Martí has been nothing short of AMAZING. She’s a wonderful listener, a genuinely caring person, and a fabulous practitioner. 10/10!”
“Dr.Carmen Marti is a terrible Physician. She does not care about her patients and sees them as a number. My father’s prescriptions were being filled without being seen for two years and his mental health condition remained undiagnosed until ultimately he had to be hospitalized . Please stay away if you love your family .”
“Dr. Yanio Hernandez is amazing and made me feel very comfortable and safe. I am very happy with him specifically. The front desk team however is a bit disorganized and can use some training. They sent me the wrong forms and never got back to me about my insurance even when I asked twice about my coverage.”
