How likely are you to recommend Mercy Psychiatry Clinic?
What patients say on Google
“Dr. G guided me through treatment of postpartum depression and anxiety in addition to chronic depression of 10+ years. We met often to ensure treatment was effective and I was not having adverse effects. He introduced me to TMS therapy which completely changed my life. I have not had so much energy, motivation, or happiness just to be alive in as long as I can remember. I have told everyone I know about TMS, because it truly saved me mentally. All of the staff is so kind, compassionate, and easy going. They also have all the office plants name-tagged, it’s adorable.”
“I really loved their office. Everyone was so kind. Going to a new psychiatrist can be daunting, but they made me feel comfortable and really listened to my issues and concerns.”
“I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Medhat Guirguis (Dr. G) and the entire team at Mercy Psychiatry in Fort Worth (near the Southlake/Alliance area). I’ve been dealing with ADD/ADHD since I was diagnosed in first grade—almost 30 years—and spent a long time searching for a specialist who truly understands the long-term challenges. From the moment of our first consultation, I knew Dr. G was exactly the kind of doctor I had been looking for. Normally I’m very hesitant about trying new medications or changing treatments because it can be overwhelming and uncertain. Dr. G and his team immediately put me at ease with their calm, knowledgeable, and compassionate approach. They listened closely to my history, respected my concerns, and explained options clearly without pressure. The whole process felt collaborative—my preferences and past experiences were honored while Dr. G offered thoughtful, evidence-based recommendations. I’ve also struggled with clinical depression. If you’d asked me a couple years ago, I might have shrugged it off or thought people were just lazy. God humbled me very quickly—man, was I wrong. Clinical and situational depression is very, very real. I’m now much more empathetic toward anyone dealing with depression, big or small. When my depression was at its worst, simple tasks like calling the pharmacy to check a refill were next to impossible. After speaking with Dr. G I knew he was a professional I could trust and that I was in good hands. I started TMS treatments at Mercy Psychiatry and saw huge improvements. Around treatment 15 I could tell my brain was working better — my mood and clarity improved significantly. I completed a total of 36 TMS treatments and would recommend it to almost anyone considering it. I’m now on a maintenance schedule with other treatments at Mercy Psychiatry and continue to see steady improvements mentally and emotionally. My ADD is manageable, and I’m no longer stuck in bed for days at a time. The clinic staff is professional and welcoming. Scheduling is straightforward, communication is prompt, and follow-up care has been attentive. Every team member treated me with respect and made sure I understood the plan and next steps. They quite literally saved my life when I really think about it. If you’re searching for a skilled, caring psychiatrist who combines clinical expertise with genuine empathy, I highly recommend Dr. G at Mercy Psychiatry. I left my first appointment feeling heard, hopeful, and confident that I’m in capable hands.”
“Called to reschedule appointment day before appointment because I was had not been feeling well to the point where I didn’t feel I would be better by morning appointment, was told I had to pay a $75 fee before I could reschedule because it was less than 24 hours from the appointment time I asked did they want me to come in sick, of course not, so okay who can foresee that they were going to get sick the afternoon before. They would rather lose a patient than utilize empathy and common sense, they were unwilling to waive the fee, even given the situation for $75 they never earned. Unbelievable and unacceptable.”
