“I am very disappointed with my experience at Lighthouse, particularly with how my concerns regarding a psychiatric medication were handled. For over two weeks, I repeatedly tried to get a clear answer about whether I could receive a short bridge prescription to get me to an upcoming appointment with a new provider. When it became clear a refill might not be possible, I specifically asked for guidance on how to safely stop the medication. That guidance was never provided. Being left without direction regarding mental health treatment is unacceptable. I chose to leave this practice because I did not feel listened to by Dr. Westbrock. Diagnoses were mentioned without explanation, alternative causes were not meaningfully explored, and my concerns were largely dismissed. When I asked about further evaluation, I was told it would require several additional appointments and approximately $800 in fees, after already paying for the visit I was attending. The process felt more focused on billing than patient care. After securing a new provider, I contacted Lighthouse weeks in advance because I knew I would run out of medication before that appointment. I made it clear that I understood if a refill was not possible and that I was simply asking for guidance. Despite multiple attempts, my requested were ignored by Dr. Westbrock. Even after being told by the medical assistants this bridge refill should have been possible. Lighthouse medical assistants have reached out and apologized on behalf of the team. They stated the issue was with Dr. Westbrock and said that if I wanted a bridge now, three weeks later, they could forward me to the director. I appreciate the medical assistants who attempted to help every time I called. However, this situation should have been escalated to leadership much earlier, and at the end of the day Dr. Westbrock is employed by this office and his actions reflect the office. Overall, this experience left me feeling dismissed and unsupported at a critical moment in my care. The only reason I chose 2 stars instead of 1 was the medical assistants consistently trying their best. It is disappointing they are not listened to by their superiors. I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision when choosing providers.”
“Lighthouse used to be AMAZING. I’ve been going to this location for almost 61/2 years. Dr. Ramirez has been my Psychiatrist for ALL of it. The other day I was coming to my appointment and unfortunately I hit traffic due to a horrible car accident that I had zero control with. I’ve been always on time and proactive, upon arrival I was treated like complete garbage and told I need to reschedule. What’s wild is that usually when I arrive on time I wait for 5-10 minutes to be seen. I was told on the phone it wouldn’t be a problem. Instead they cancelled it and told me I need to comeback. Left work and drove out of my way to be turned away. Awesome! Thanks lighthouse! I followed up with an email, stating my frustration and Dixie basically told me I’m out of luck. I asked to please be discharged and not one single person reached out to call me to make things right. It’s pretty disgusting how bad this place has got. It’s clearly focused on $$$ over patients. I would save your time and money. There’s way too many options out here, especially for individuals like myself with OCD. This is just a reminder to be careful and not count on them having your back. Just another for profit medical office. Shame on light house.”
“Edit: I have been here a few times now and though my provider is great, staff and business seem otherwise. The lady at the front desk has changed(I learned the original girl went somewhere else) and most of the time they don’t seem happy to be there. I have had several issues with paperwork online and having to do it over. I am receiving bills after paying at appointments and no one ever gets back to me. It is becoming a headache to say the least and I will probably be looking for a new provider. Filled out an enrollment form online after finding this place on my insurance portal and received a call the next day to schedule. Angelica was very knowledgeable and helped get us scheduled with someone who took our insurance as well as talked briefly about the type of counseling we were looking for. Found an appointment within the month that worked for my wife and I. She sent us a email with our appointment information to. We had our daughter’s first therapy appointment this week. Arrived early and was greeted when walking in. Angelica turned out to be the one checking us in. There was another girl in scrubs standing behind the front but seemed to maybe work in another area. We didn’t catch her name but was really nice as well. Once done, we were directed to a waiting area where there was some stuff for my daughter to do while we waited for her provider, toys books and some coloring. There is coffee, tea and water in the waiting room which was nice. We went back, the provider was on time, had our session which seemed pretty standard for a first appointment. The provider seemed really nice and walked us through everything. Our daughter felt comfortable and was able to say a few things to. There was a few papers to sign and we made a plan for goals. They took us back to the front when our appointment was over and let us know what they recommended for future time. Angelica helped us through scheduling multiple appointments that fit into our schedule. She answered all of our questions and we didn’t feel rushed even though she was the only person there at the time. This was just our first visit but overall a good experience. Recommend if you want friendly staff and an overall positive experience.”
“BOTTOM LINE: Sort by recent reviews: They're awful. Clearly leadership changes broke the place. The Good: Matt is solid to interact with. The Bad: It's pretty solidly disorganized, unprofessional, and chaotic as a whole. Arrived 15 minutes early, as requested, for my noon appointment. Checked in and then the desk associate left for lunch... and no one checked in with me in the lobby for over 30 minutes. I hailed someone passing by because I needed to use the restroom - desperately. I'm not certain they knew or remembered I was there. Certainly, no one bothered to advise me they were running behind. Scheduled an appointment for the next week. Received a text to move it to Monday, the week after. I did that... then that "next week," I received a text saying it needed to be in-person instead of on the phone. That was late on Thursday afternoon. So... I scheduled it for 10 am on Tuesday and then was told it needed to be 11 am on Tuesday. Well, considering it's 90 minutes (or more) round-trip to get there from where I'm located, that hour shift matters. I told them I'd follow up with another time. Then I sent a text trying to find a time on Thursday since 10 am on Tuesday wasn't an option. Now it's Monday morning. I get a reminder for an appointment by phone in a couple hours. I pointed out that they contacted me to cancel that and schedule in-person instead. They claimed they had not canceled it even after I sent the text and a screen shot of their message and our conversation to illustrate that they had in fact, canceled. Next, I'm told that message was for a different appointment. At this point, I try to get a human on the phone. It seems the texts might be from multiple people and the communication is poor, defensive, blaming, combative, trying to shift culpability, and clearly unprofessional, disorganized, and, therefore, entirely useless. So... I'm thinking a call might clear things up. Enter Matt. I call 2 times and get voicemail. Then Matt picks up. He's great and responsible and willing to figure it out. He'll call me back later, because he's got to get on a scheduled call. I advise the texter that I've talked to Matt and we should halt messaging. I'll wait for Matt's followup call to get clarity. I get on the Monday morning call that was canceled, but wasn't canceled. I'm stressed thanks to the early morning chaos. That stress showed. I did my best and so did the person with whom I spoke. I get off the phone to discover a text from Lovelle, the clinical director of operations. I haven't eaten. I haven't had a drink for hours. I haven't gone to the restroom. She wants me to drop everything to call her to clear up the confusion. I express my need to decompress and that I think waiting for Matt to call me back, as planned/discussed, is sufficient as that would allow me time to do what I need to do after the morning's chaos. The response to this reasonable request? Apparently, if I do not continue to roll over to their constant canceling, rescheduling, and disorganization is that it's best I no longer receive their services. I need to drop everything and talk to her now. I ask her to call because they never answer. She doesn't. I call 3 times. They don't answer. I agree with Lovelle. If my flexibility in the face of their unprofessionalism and chaos isn't good enough for them and my need to address my own life requirements (food, restroom, appointments, making money at work, etc.) isn't convenient for them, because I should be available at their whim... Lovelle is 100% correct: I shouldn't be their client and, let's face it, neither should you or anyone else. All hail, Lovelle! We need more inflexible, dictatorial, disorganized chaos. Whee. 🙄 I highly recommend you avoid additional friction in your life and look for an alternate provider. Regarding physical location: smelled bad, worn, old, poorly cared for space... matched the way I felt after my varied interactions with the office.”
