What patients say on Google
“Dr. Zia is an exceptionally compassionate, thoughtful, and dedicated physician. She consistently went above and beyond to listen carefully, consider the whole picture, and help me identify the right next steps and resources. Her guidance had a meaningful and lasting impact, and I remain deeply grateful for the care and humanity she brought to every interaction. Her team, Nika (and Edith), was equally wonderful—warm, attentive, encouraging, and consistently professional. The entire office created an environment in which I felt genuinely supported and treated as a person. I remain grateful to them. I continue to appreciate the positive ripple effects of Dr. Zia’s guidance and my time at Excel. I cannot recommend her and her team highly enough.”
“My family member goes here. I kept noticing they changed a strange amount for the co-pay. When I called to ask about it, first I was told it was a "2% convenience fee" so I asked convenience for what, the woman on the phone couldn't answer that question so she put me on a brief hold then told me it was for all the extra paper work. So, I asked what paperwork, meds are generic and almost all visits are virtual soooo what paper work? She put me on another brief hold, then she came back and said it was to cover the cost of the credit card processing fee their vender charges them. Now 2% isn't much but this is a very poor business practice to charge patients 2% on top of the CONTRACTED RATE they agree to accept as a co-payment or co-insurance. I know because I'm a physician and we don't do this. Additionally, the fee a business is charged by a credit card reader vendor is TAX DEDUCTIBLE so this doctor is deducting the cost on their taxes AND charging their patients to cover the cost. That's NOT right. Very poor and honestly highly questionable business practices. I wonder what the Texas Medical Board would think of this unethical business practice?”
“Jonathan Kaminar has been such a God-send to me as I work through some extremely painful events. He listens, encourages, and is REAL - for which I am most thankful. Quite honestly, the entire staff has been just as attentive and caring. I know in my heart I will see the benefits of working WITH Jonathan in my recovery. He is a blessing!”
“I started seeing this psychiatrist virtually and things were fine at first. Appointments were straightforward, and I appreciated the convenience of telehealth. However, over time the cost of each visit quietly increased — from about $32 to over $50, then nearly $100. I was once late to a virtual appointment by just over 10 minutes and was told it was too late to be seen, which felt a bit rigid. The real issue came when I was abruptly “fired” as a patient after receiving a short-term Xanax prescription from my primary care doctor for an upcoming flight (my PCP was fully aware I was also being treated for ADHD). The response from the psychiatrist’s office felt very quick and borderline unprofessional, as if they took it personally rather than handling it with understanding or communication. Now I’m scrambling to find another psychiatrist while running out of medication. Not the worst experience overall, but if you’re looking for a stable, long-term provider who treats you like a person rather than just another chart, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.”
