What patients say on Google

“I recently had an appointment with Dr. Khawaja and right off the bat he was 45 minutes late without even a courtesy call or text. When I called the office, I was told it was perfectly normal for this to happen. I didn’t want to rush my appointment into just 5 minutes when the provider insisted. So, I declined the appointment and said I’d find another provider. But guess what? I was still charged a copayment. I called billing and management, hoping they’d understand that charging for appointments that never happened and it ended up being a lost cause. They told me it was normal and that they take copayments a day before an appointment. But here’s the kicker: I was charged the same day after the late appointment! When I explained that this is clearly fraud, the front desk representative, Sarah, just laughed about it. It’s as if they’ve outsourced their billing department to a different country, and there’s no one in charge who knows what’s going on. They’ll take your money and make it impossible to get it back. I’ve spoken to other local patients who have had the same experience and issues with this practice. Once I’m done with this review, I’ll be filing a complaint with the state. Save your time and money by staying away from this place.”

“Made an appointment with this Dr. who requires a $100.00 Deposit. I have never heard of this but I put money down to see him. Then I get a call from his office, saying they do not take my insurance. Appointment is then canceled. Now I can’t seem to get my money back as I keep getting the run around! I have made 5 phone calls regarding this matter. It is always well you need to talk to someone else, or we will call you back…. I was hesitant to put a deposit down, but did out of good faith. Obviously this Dr. and his office can’t get it together to get my money back. I do not recommend this Dr. office for this reason.”

“Dr. Khawaja is a very knowledgeable and caring person with an excellent bedside manner. I have been a patient of his for over two years and have always felt respected and valued. He listens carefully to my concerns and has helped me to manage my sleep and mental health issues without overprescribing medications. My overall quality of life has improved significantly since I started seeing Dr. Khawaja. I am so grateful to have found him.”

“***there is an edit to this review*** Mental Health gatekeeping is a real thing, and this practice does it as well. Either Dr groups want you to jump through 10,000 hoops before you can even get an appointment, and that is only IF they think you Deserve an appointment, or, you get this place. They want a $100 deposit to even just book a first appointment. I don't have that. I have to carefully plan my budget to make sure I have my copay for the appointment. So apparently, if you just live paycheck to paycheck, mental health is not something you can access. So sorry, so sad. edit to add: I sent an email to the Dr as requested below. However, what I was more impressed with was the fact that the Dr had his Intake Coordinator, Amy, call me personally to speak. They did offer to waive the fee, however I have found an alternative physician. If I am not satisfied with this clinician I will indeed be contacting them back. They just need to do serious re-evaluation of this deposit stuff. Amy was wonderful though. I'm going to bump the star rating, however, if you go to make an appointment, and the $100 deposit is still in place and they don't give you alternatives, ask if there are any. If not, honestly, I'd ask for Amy. Dr Khawaja, you need to keep her, she's a gem. And thank you for trying to make it right. Now just get rid of the deposit!”
