What patients say on Google
“I received far below acceptable care from this facility. Most importantly, they failed to renew my prescription refills on three separate occasions, leaving me without a critical medication that should never be stopped abruptly. My appointments were typically less than 5 minutes and boiled down to "what do you want to do?" (I was always billed for the full appointment). They only reached out to me when I had an outstanding balance. Not once did they reach out to check in, schedule an appointment, or even let me know I was running out of refills. This apathetic level of care can cause more harm than good. If you value your mental health and want a provider that cares about your outcomes as a patient you need to look elsewhere. I used this location for ~2 years, not because of the quality of care, but due to the challenge of finding a new psychiatrist, especially when undergoing mental health struggles coupled with sub-par care. Please don't make my mistake and get caught in that cycle, start your care journey at a better facility.”
“I had a very disappointing experience with this provider. They were professional and polite, but the interactions often felt so clinical and impersonal that I struggled to feel like I was actually being heard or understood as a person. I specifically sought psychiatric care because I wanted help understanding symptoms I believed could be related to ADHD/neurodivergence and asked to be properly evaluated. I did not feel that those concerns were adequately explored. Instead, the focus shifted toward a different diagnosis and treatment approach that I did not feel accurately reflected what I was experiencing. I was prescribed a medication through this treatment that had an extremely negative effect on my mental health. During that period, my mental health deteriorated significantly and I ultimately ended up in the hospital. What was especially upsetting was that when I tried to express concerns about what was happening and questioned whether the medication or treatment approach was right for me, I felt dismissed and invalidated rather than taken seriously. I also left the experience feeling as though my attempts to discuss ADHD were being interpreted as drug-seeking rather than as a genuine request for evaluation and help understanding why I was struggling. That experience has made me nervous to even bring these concerns to another psychiatric provider, which is not how anyone should leave mental health care feeling. I understand that psychiatric diagnosis and finding the right medication can take time, and not every treatment will work for every person. My issue isn’t simply that a medication didn’t work. It’s that I did not feel listened to when I raised concerns, and I did not feel the concerns that originally brought me there were properly investigated. I hope this provider gains more experience with neurodivergent patients and becomes more willing to slow down, listen, and reconsider an approach when a patient is telling them that something feels seriously wrong. I wish I had felt heard sooner.”
“I truly do not recommend trying to go to therapy here. I have been trying to start therapy here since February of this year. It's now August and I still don't have a reliable therapist. My first therapist Rebecca saw me two or three times, then completely stopped reaching out to me or replying to text messages about scheduling. Then I spent probably two months on the wait list to get paired with another therapist. Denver Wellness does not realiably answer their phones and definitely don't call back. The only reason I got calls back is because my psychiatrist pushes admin to do so. Two weeks ago I got a call from a new therapist named Brooke who scheduled me and gave me her text line. I texted her to ask to reschedule and never heard back. I then got a call from Denver Wellness about my appointment with "Sarah", whom I've never heard of. Now I can't get ahold of them at all, no calls back and no one picks up the phone. I am so so done trying to make it work with this place. I wasted so much time. Andre Wynn is the only reason I'm still here, she's amazing. Do not bother trying to get therapy here.”
“I transferred care here over a year ago when I was informed my last psychiatrist office (Colorado Psychiatry Center) was closing without warning. I was anxious and stressed and decided to transfer care to DWA. I am now moving out of state so I will be transferring care again but I highly recommend the medication management team here. They have even offered to help get me established with new providers once I have finished my move. I have not had billing issues like others reviewing and I did not require in office visits so I did virtual 99% of the time but I have had no issues overall. Kirsten was incredibly caring and experienced and when she was on leave and I experienced some life stressors, Sidney was able to resume my care without issues until Kirsten was able to return. BOTH were so thoughtful and caring and relatable. Kirsten even convened with my therapist and my therapist had even commented, "She seems like a provider who really cares about her patients." It's unfortunate when office/administrative staff or issues impede patient care but the providers here care DEEPLY about their patients. I have had no issues and would recommend this office to anyone who needed it.”
